Yes, your family may come to the United States based on your O Visa. The spouse and children of an O Visa holder can come to the U.S., but they will not be allowed to work based on this status.

Your staff and team members may be able to come to the United States based on your O Visa. Visas are sometimes available to essential members of your team whose roles in your work cannot be filled by U.S. workers.

No, it is not possible for you to sponsor yourself when applying for an O visa. A manager or intending employer must sponsor you in order to obtain O Visa status.
How long can I stay in the U.S. with an O Visa?
An O Visa is generally approved for an initial period long enough to complete the needed task or event, but only up to three years. After the initial period of stay, the visa may be extended in increments of up to one year at a time.
Can my O Visa lead to a Green Card?
An O visa may or may not lead to a green card. While the O Visa is only temporary, someone who qualifies for an O Visa could likely qualify for an immigrant visa based on extraordinary ability.
